06/05/2004: "Why I like Eclipse"

While teaching a three-day course I upgraded Eclipse three times with absolutely no ill effects. There are two neat things here:

• The Eclipse team rocks, adding features at an alarming pace
• No fear of upgrading means I can always have the greatest features

It's similar to writing tests: they help you go faster. When it's painless to upgrade your toolset, that helps you go faster. I think it's great.
